Ideas are infinite
It might seems like a strange concept, but lunching with God (or rather, Jim Carrey anointed with God-like powers) became a reality for some with Buena Vista International’s recent campaign for the Jim Carrey vehicle comedy Bruce Almighty.
The innovative table advertising campaign was launched in
collaboration with Alternate Ads, and would be running for six
weeks over 150 tabletops.
“The principle behind table advertising is that you have a captive
audience. The ads are placed in carefully selected cafes,
restaurants and bars where young, high-disposable income patrons
are known to frequent.” says Angela Tan, founder of Alternate
Ads.
Naturally, the design of the ad is key to its success. “You can’t
help but be amused by the picture of Jim Carrey -- complete with a
leaf over his loins -- and it becomes a conversation piece between
those sitting at the table.”
